In the wake of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, images and videos of injured pets, farm animals and other animals have flooded social media, underscoring how they have been caught in Israel's crossfire just as much as civilians.

Founded by Saeed Al Err in 2006, Sulala Animal Rescue has become a sanctuary and advocate for the Gaza Strip's animals amidst Israel's ongoing brutal military aggression.

Sulala's main shelter once housed around 400 dogs and was located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Israel has since destroyed the area. After months of searching and despite the lack of essential food and medicine, veterinarians have now set up a makeshift tent in Rafah to assist animals who are injured, sick, or alone without their families.
