A new song released by Lebanese legend Nancy Ajram and the superstar US electronic producer Marshmello has been labelled “epic” by excited fans across the globe.

The cross-border collaboration ‘Sah Sah’ – released on Friday 8 July – is an upbeat “Arabic hit”, according to streaming platform Spotify, featuring invigorating Arab melodies paired with Ajram’s well-loved voice.

The Lebanese national sweetheart has however been surrounded by dark controversy in recent years, including accusations of blackface and her husband’s harrowing murder case.

“#SahSah and enjoy the party!,” Ajram wrote as she shared that the song was officially out on her twitter account.

The singer also posted an image to her Instagram story of the song’s promotional material across New York’s Times Square billboards, as fans showered her with love for the song.

Billboard columnist Jess Benjamin Also stated the song “is going to be such a huge moment for Arab-pop and global music!”.

Fans called the track the “song of the year”, saying they were “in love” with it.

Since its release, Sah Sah has received over 450,000 plays on YouTube and 8,000 streams on Spotify.

Marshmello also collaborated with Egyptian superstar Amr Diab for the song 'Bayen Habet' in 2018, which has since gathered over 12 million views on YouTube and 16 million streams on Spotify.
