Palestinians in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and the West Bank react after three European countries said they would recognise a Palestinian state on Wednesday. Norway, Ireland and Spain announced that they will recognise a Palestinian state as of the 28th of May. Abu Majdi, a Palestinian refugee living in Shatila camp, whose father was displaced from Haifa said: "This recognition will change the future of coming generations and the future of the Palestinian cause." Israel strongly opposes the move by the three European countries, arguing that it amounts to "rewarding terrorism" the unprecedented October 7 attack on Israel.
