Jordan's King Abdullah II speaks on Lebanon & Gaza at the UN General Assembly

Speaking to the UN General Assembly, Jordan's King Abdullah II expressed concern over the rapidly deteriorating situation in Lebanon and frustration over Israel’s choice to escalate tensions across the border.

The monarch added that the UN was facing an unprecedented crisis that threatens its legitimacy, urging the global community to also address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel's war on Gaza and escalating military aggression on Lebanon were some of the main topics as world leaders met for the 79th UN General Assembly, which started on Tuesday in New York City.
