Israeli football hooligans left a trail of destruction in Amsterdam after riots broke out following Maccabi Tel Aviv's 5-0 loss to AFC Ajax. The fans tore down Palestinian flags in the city center, attacked an Arab taxi driver, and damaged his car. Under the protection of Dutch police, they reportedly chanted genocidal slogans, including “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left.” Arab and North African residents responded violently to the hooligans, resulting in multiple injuries on both sides. Dozens were arrested, though none of the Israelis faced detention. In response, Israeli and Western officials rushed to frame the clashes as an "antisemitic pogrom"
