More than 10 months into its relentless military onslaught on the Gaza Strip, Israel has wiped out extended families. It has left Palestinian parents without children and children without parents, brothers or sisters. And some of the sole survivors are so young they will have no memory of those they lost. Since October 7, Israel has killed nearly 40,000 Palestinians in Gaza, with over 92,000 injured. Recent UN estimates show that around 40% of the overall death toll are children.
