Last night, a reported Israeli air strike on a Gaza hospital has killed at least 500 people, according to health officials, provoking outrage and condemnation worldwide.
Palestinians in Gaza accused Israel of being behind the strike, while Israeli officials claimed that a misfired rocket attack by the Islamic Jihad group caused the massacre.
However, no rocket ever launched by Palestinian militant groups has ever had such a deadly effect, and Islamic Jihad described the Israeli claims as "lies".
Several countries, as well as the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, the UN, and the EU, have condemned Israel's attack on Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
For 12 days now, Israel has been launching fierce and indiscriminate strikes on densely populated Gaza, killing nearly 3,478 people at the time of writing, mostly women and children. More than 12,000 others have been wounded.
