28 premature babies transferred from Gaza to Egypt

A group of 28 premature babies from the Gaza Strip have been evacuated from the embattled Al-Shifa Hospital inside the besieged Palestinian enclave and transferred to Egypt to receive much-needed treatment.

Last week, Israeli forces seized Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza, to search for what they said was a Hamas tunnel network and command centre built underneath the complex.

Hamas has denied the allegations.
