Hamas's military wing has produced a new video that suggests two Israeli soldiers missing in action during the last war in Gaza in 2014 are alive and in its custody.
The three and a half minute video, posted by Al-Qassam Brigades on Thursday night, is a Hebrew-language music video that taunts the Israeli public and the parents of Staff Sgt. Oron Shaul and Lt. Hadar Goldin.
The soldiers are so far presumed in Israel to have been killed in action, but the video seems to suggest the men are actually alive and captives in Gaza.
Hamas has never offered any evidence that the two are still alive, including in the video published on Thursday.
“Mother, mother I’m here. Why are they saying that I’m dead?” goes one of the lines of the chorus.

“Mother, mother, the state is responsible for the lost ones. A day will come when those responsible will be judged,” the song also says.
The song was released with an accompanying Twitter hashtag in Arabic and Hebrew that translates as “Your government lies.”
“Mom, Dad, I’m in the prison of the Qassam Brigades. Do all you can so the truth will come out,” another line says.
Thursday’s video was released a day after the mother of Goldin slammed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for his conduct regarding her son.
Hamas has demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the Israeli soldiers.
