A widely circulated video on social media has sparked uproar in Saudi Arabia after it showed a car falling from a bridge in Riyadh onto another car below, resulting in injuries and traffic disruption.
According to local media reports, the car fell from the top of the King Fahd Road bridge in Riyadh onto another car below the bridge, after breaking the barrier due to excessive speeding.

The video triggered anger among social media users, who commented that such accidents were a result of "excessive speeding" and "reckless driving", which continue to occur despite laws to reduce accidents and prevent the loss of lives.
"The mobile phone is a disaster for most drivers whose eyes are on it and are then surprised that their car swerves! Such accidents happen so quickly," @Amal89691707 said on Twitter.
"Why is it that every once in a while in Riyadh such accidents happen?" @fattmahali said.
The Saudi Traffic Department issued a warning on Saturday over excessive speeding and its role in causing road accidents, highlighting that even slight increases in speed can have severe consequences.
Earlier, the Traffic Department said that vehicle drivers must adhere to traffic regulations and remain vigilant when driving at intersections, adding that failure to comply constitutes a traffic violation that carries a fine ranging from 300 to 500 Saudi riyals.
