Three Israeli settlers, one Palestinian killed in stab attack north of the occupied West Bank
Three Israeli settlers and a Palestinian man were killed, and three other Israelis were wounded in a stab and car attack on Tuesday at the Israeli settlement of Ariel near the Palestinian city of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian attacker was identified by Israeli forces as Mohammad Souf, 19 years old from the village of Hares near Salfit.
Israeli media quoted the Israeli army claiming that Souf began the attack by stabbing the settlement's security guard before moving into the settlement and stabbing three Israelis more.
According to Israeli reports, Souf then took control of an Israeli car which he crashed into traffic on an Israeli highway, before stepping down and stabbing another Israeli. He then took over a second car and crashed it into traffic, before being shot dead upon stepping down. Israeli forces withheld Souf's body.

Local sources in Hares told The New Arab that Souf was a factory worker at the Israeli Ariel settlement. Sources added that Souf's father died a year ago from cancer and that he was the main provider for his mother and brother.
Israeli forces raided the village of Hares following the attack and gathered all Souf's family members in their house. The Israeli raid on the village continues to this moment.
The attack at the Ariel settlement arrives one day after Israeli forces killed a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager in the town of Beitunia in Ramallah.
