Manchester United star Christiano Ronaldo has been offered a staggering £210 million to sign for a Saudi club for two seasons, according to reports.

The Portuguese forward has reportedly been unhappy at Manchester United, allegedly asking for a transfer due to the Premier League side not qualifying for the Champions League.

He has not joined the team on its pre-season tour in Asia and Australia due to personal reasons.

With few sides unable to afford Ronaldo's already colossal salary of around £450,000 a week, an unnamed Saudi club has reportedly swooped in with an eye-watering bid that could see the five-time Ballon d'Or winner take home more than four times this figure, CNN Portugal reported.

United would also pocket £25 million from the sale, roughly the same figure paid to bring him back to the club last summer.

The New Arab could not independently verify the claim.

Ronaldo has a huge following in the Middle East and donated to causes in the region, such as the Syrian refugee crisis.
