Myriam Fares, Nicki Minaj, Maluma take top spot with World Cup anthem
Lebanese pop star Myriam Fares, Nicki Minaj and Maluma have joined forces to release the FIFA World Cups official anthem on Friday.
The track, titled “Tukoh Taka” the the competition’s first to be sung in English, Arabic and Spanish.
Just hours after the song’s release, it shot up to number one on the US iTunes Chart, making Myriam Fares the first Arab artist to achieve this.
The video’s release stirred excitement on social media, ahead of the Arab world’s first hosting of a World Cup tournament this weekend.
“Myriam fares is making history as we speak,” wrote one Twitter user.

The World Cup kicks off this Sunday in Qatar, bringing together 32 teams in football's top international competition.
