Man grabs mic from Greta Thunberg after she invites Palestinian, Afghan to speak at rally
Climate activist Greta Thunberg was interrupted on stage Sunday by a man who snatched her microphone after she invited a Palestinian and an Afghan woman to speak at a climate protest in the Dutch capital.
Thunberg invited the women onto the stage while speaking to a crowd of tens of thousands in Amsterdam, after a march through the city that called for more action to tackle the climate emergency.
"As a climate justice movement, we have to listen to the voices of those who are being oppressed and those who are fighting for freedom and for justice. Otherwise, there can be no climate justice without international solidarity," Thunberg said, a keffiyeh wrapped around her neck.
After the Palestinian and Afghan women spoke and Thunberg resumed her speech, a man came onto the stage and snatched the microphone, telling her: "I have come here for a climate demonstration, not a political view," before he was ushered off the stage.

The Swedish activist then joined in with chants from the crowd of "No climate justice on occupied land".
Thunberg came under fire last month after expressing solidarity with Palestinians in social media posts - with even the state of Israel using its account on 'X', formerly Twitter, to criticise her for her stance.
More than 11,000 people have died in Gaza since Israel launched its brutal assault on the Palestinian enclave on 7 October, and over 1.5 million people have been displaced as a result.
Some famous faces who have spoken out for Palestine say they have received death threats and lost their jobs allegedly over their political stance.
