Israeli forces kill three Palestinians in West Bank, use bulldozers to dump body

Video posted online on Thursday appeared to show Israeli bulldozers disposing of the body of dead Palestinian during a raid on the city of Qabatia near Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The footage, shared online by several Arabic-language news outlets, including Al Jazeera, showed the military vehicles removing the body from a wrecked building and dropping it in the street.

Israeli forces killed three Palestinians during the raid on the city of Qabatia, and detained several others.

The Israeli army claimed it had surrounded a building where two gunmen were exchanging fire with them, The two Palestinians were killed, with witnesses saying that the body of one was lifted out by an armoured bulldozer.

A third Palestinian was killed by Israeli troops elsewhere in the town, medical officials said.

There was no immediate claim of the dead men by any armed Palestinian faction.

Several Palestinians were detained by troops, who also "exposed explosives planted into roads which were intended to be used to attack the forces", the army statement said.

Amid its war on Gaza, Israel has stepped up raids in the occupied West Bank, where the army and settlers have killed over 500 Palestinians since October.
