Israeli army kills more than 266 Palestinians in 24 hours: Gaza ministry
The Israeli army has killed more than 266 Palestinians in a 24 hour period, Gaza's Health Ministry said on Sunday.
“More than 266 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli airstrikes which attacked dozens of local residential buildings and towers,” the ministry said in a press statement sent to The New Arab.
The Gaza health ministry says more than 4,651 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Israeli raids since Israeli began airstrikes on the Gaza Strip following a Hamas assault on Israel that killed at least 1,400.
At least 1,873 children, 1,023 women, and 187 elderly Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli strikes, which have wounded more than 14,245 others.
Israel has imposed a a full. siege on Gaza as it carries out its brutal assault, depriving the coastal enclave's population of more than 2 million of water, food, electricity and medical supplies.
The Israeli onslaught has seen residential buildings, hospitals, schools, mosques and churches targeted, with Israel claiming that it has only targeted Hamas.
