Thirty people including children have been killed in Sunday night bombing of Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp.

Gaza’s ministry of interior reported a high number of casualties following the Israeli on a residential building in the largest of eight refugee camps in the strip.

At least 27 people were injured, with hospitals struggling to treat the wounded given power outages and a shortage of medical supplies caused by the Israeli blockade.

"We are suffering from an acute shortage of medicines and medical equipment," the director of the Indonesian Hospital in North Gaza told Al Jazeera.

The Jabalia camp, which has been targeted by Israel before, hosts three UNRWA schools that have converted into shelters for hundreds of displaced families.

A market in the camp, one of the busiest areas in Gaza, was bombarded on 9 October, according to Amnesty International, killing an unknown number of people.

After a two-week delay, the first aid convoys arrived in Gaza on Saturday and Sunday, which aid groups say do not come close to meeting the needs of the 2 million people trapped in the Palestinian enclave.

Prior to 7 October, when the strip was fully blockaded, several hundred aid trucks arrived in Gaza each day.

At least 60 percent of the population of the Gaza Strip has been displaced as a result of Israel's fierce and indiscriminate bombing campaign against the besieged Palestinian enclave, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Israel's devastating bombing campaign has killed more than 4,600 Palestinians, while attacks by Gaza-based armed groups in Israel on 7 October killed 1,400 people.
