Three Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops in separate incidents in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Tuesday, the Palestinian health ministry said.

Two brothers were killed by Israeli fire in Kafr Ein, near Ramallah, while a third man died of bullet wounds to the head fired by Israeli troops in Beit Ummar, near the flashpoint city of Hebron, the ministry said.

The Israeli military did not confirm the death but claimed its troops came under attack overnight when two military vehicles stalled just outside the town of Beit Ummar, near the city of Hebron. Palestinian protestors hurled bombs and fired shots at soldiers who responded with live fire, the Israeli military claimed in a statement.

In a separate incident, Palestinian officials said two brothers were killed by Israeli fire in Kafr Ein, near Ramallah.

Palestinian towns in the occupied West Bank have seen intensified raids by Israel. More than 100 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the start of the year.
