Iran-linked hacking group infiltrates Israeli cyber security firm
Just days earlier, the Pay2Key group breached the systems of Israel Aerospace Industries.
The latest hack targeting Israeli firms led to the publishing of documents relating to some of Israel's biggest companies, including El Al, Elbit, Bezeq and Clalit, among others, according to Ynet News.
In response to the attack, Portnox said it was "conducting an intensive investigation in order to understand the scope of the event.”
A number of cyber attacks on Israeli firms have been linked to the Pay2Key group, which installs ransomware demanding victims make Bitcoin transfers. In November, Israeli cyber security firm Check Point said it had tracked some Pay2Key transactions to a Bitcoin exchange based in Iran.
