Iranian delegation arrives in Moscow to discuss army cooperation
An Iranian military delegation has arrived in Moscow to discuss cooperation between Iranian and Russian ground forces, state news agency TASS reported on Monday, citing Russia's Defence Ministry.
Russia and Iran, both under Western economic sanctions, have forged closer relations in military and other areas since Moscow invaded Ukraine.
Iran is acccused of selling large numbers of drones for use against Ukraine, something Tehran denies, despite overwhelming evidence otherwise,
For example, on Saturday Ukraine confirmed it had shot down 15 Iranian-made Shahed drones used by Russia in an attempted aerial assault on Kyiv.
Though it's possible that Russia bought the drones from Iran prior to its invasion of Ukraine, analysts consider this highly unlikely given the quantity and quality of the Iranian-made drones Russia has been using.
