A music video by Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred has been viewed more than 100 million times on Youtube, breaking the record for the fastest time an Arabic language music video has reached that many views.

The song Lm3allem (The Boss) passed the 100 million mark on Saturday just three months after the video was released, to the delight of Lamjarred’s fans.

"Congrats boss! You deserve more than 100 million views," said one adoring fan.

“Right now in Egypt there isn’t a wedding that doesn’t put on Lm3allem, you can even hear it in the streets. Congrats for the 100 million, you deserve it,” said another.

The 30-yar-old from Rabat is the son of a singer and actress, he rose to fame after appearing on a Lebanese TV singing competition in 2007.

In May 2015, Lm3allem earned a Guinness World Record after gaining nearly 23 million views on Youtube within three weeks of release.

The only other video to have gather so many views is Emirati singer Hussein al-Jasmi's Boushret Kheir, a catchy song made to encourage Egyptians to vote before the 2014 presidential elections.
