The Palestinian Civil Defence has issued urgent orders to residents in Gaza, calling on them to fortify and reinforce their tents to protect themselves from heavy rains expected in the coming week. But for displaced Palestinians in Gaza, this is a near-impossible task as their tents have become worn out from nearly one year of Israel's brutal war on Gaza which has seen many of them move to safety areas multiple times. In addition, tent repairs or new tents are too expensive. Yesterday, heavy rainfall flooded the tents in Khan Younis, making living conditions even more challenging for Palestinians in bombed-out neighborhoods living in makeshift tents.
