Lebanon woke up in shock today after deadly pager detonations across the country yesterday killed 12 people and wounded nearly 3,000 others. Those targeting were civilians affiliated with Hezbollah as well as Hezbollah members themselves. The death toll includes two children. A senior Lebanese security source and another source told Reuters that Israel's Mossad spy agency planted explosives inside 5,000 pagers imported by Hezbollah months before the detonations. Hezbollah said in a statement that "the resistance will continue today, like any other day, its operations to support Gaza, its people and its resistance which is a separate path from the harsh punishment that the criminal enemy (Israel) should await in response to Tuesday's massacre". At the time of publishing, a new round of hand-held device detonations set off across Lebanon - this time walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah. Hundreds have been wounded and initiate reports suggest between 1 and 3 fatalities
