The attack, which struck early Thursday morning, is part of Israel's ongoing military operations in Syria. Since October 2023, Israel has intensified its air raids, with over 220 strikes targeting various sites across the country, including positions linked to Hezbollah and Iran. The most significant assault was in April, when a strike in Damascus killed seven members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
