Michael Gove, one of the frontbench MPs in the ruling Tories government in the UK, was skewered during a live radio interview during which he seemingly struggled to clarify whether or not Gaza is “occupied” by Israel.

Gove - a staunch Zionist who was once a contender for the role of Conservative Party leader and now serves as Secretary for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities - was grilled by LBC’s Tom Swarbrick as he repeatedly tried to dodge the question by not giving a straight answer to the questions posed.

The radio interview came as Gove published the government’s new definition of extremism, which comes in the wake of months of protests about Israel's relentless and brutal onslaught of Gaza, which after more than five months has killed more than 31,000 Palestinians.
