Beirut international airport is teeming with people trying to leave Lebanon amid rising fears of a full-scale regional conflict.

Tensions have escalated in the region following the assassination of Hamas's political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs, killing top Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr.

In response, Hezbollah and Iran have vowed retaliation against Israel, raising concerns that these multiple fronts, alongside Israel's ongoing war on Gaza, could lead to a wider and full-scale regional conflict.

Countries like France, the UK, and the US have urged their nationals to leave Lebanon while flights are available. Amidst the turmoil, the World Health Organization delivered 32 tonnes of medical supplies to support Lebanon’s hospitals in case a war does break out.
