Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur has reached the bett1open final in Berlin, Germany, after defeating American teenager Coco Gauff in straight sets on Saturday.

Jabeur will face the Swiss tennis player and Olympic gold-medallist Belinda Bencic in the final on Sunday.

Jabeaur earned a 7-6(7/4), 6-2 victory over the 18-year-old Gauff, weeks after a disappointing showing at the French Open earlier this month where she was knocked out in the first round

The Tunisian, who is ranked fourth in the world, entered the Berlin tournament as the top seed after world number one Iga Swiatek did not play due to a shoulder injury.

Her next opponent Belinda Bencic defeated Greece’s Maria Sakkari earlier in the day after coming from behind to win the three-hour-long match.

"It means a lot to be in the final," said Jabeur as quoted by Gulf News.

"I had no great expectations, I came here as fourth or fifth seed and then ended up first, but grass suits me well," she added.
