Three Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces on Sunday in the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told The New Arab’s sister publication Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Israeli special forces opened fire on a car and then seized it .
The Israeli forces allegedly infiltrated the southwest of Jenin, between the towns of Arraba and Qabatiya, using civilian cars to ambush a Palestinian car with live fire, killing three Palestinian men. Several Israeli military vehicles then stormed the area in support.
"After firing at the young men in the car, the occupation forces dragged the vehicle and seized it," a local source told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces then blocked ambulances from reaching the scene.
Israeli media quoted the Israeli security agency Shin Bet, Israeli forces acted to stop the three men in the car from carrying out an unspecified operation.
This, along with the identities of the deceased, cannot be confirmed.
Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Jenin last month, killing at least 13 people and using airstrikes in the occupied West Bank for the first time in 20 years.
Over 200 Palestinians have been killed in deadly Israeli raids since the beginning of the year.
