A young Syrian barber was reportedly killed outside his shop in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Monday evening, the latest in a series of violent deaths of young Syrian refugees in the city.

Sultan Jabna, 21 was fatally stabbed when two groups of Turkish youths brawled outside his shop in the Taksim district of the city, an unnamed source told Orient TV.

Jabna, who was originally from the Syrian city of Homs, had gotten married two months prior to his death, according to the local media reports.

It is unclear from the reports if Jabeen was an intended target of the stabbing. However, Syrian refugees are vulnerable to murders and attacks in Turkey.

Another 21-year-old Syrian refugee was killed in Istanbul just last week in an apparent racist attack.
