Parts of the Jabal al-Zawiya area of Idlib were also targeted, causing damage to civilian property, activists told The New Arab’s Arabic-language sister site Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
At least two civilians were killed in the southern city of Daraa on Sunday evening as a result of renewed clashes between local factions and armed groups suspected of ties to the Islamic State group, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported.
The clashes occurred in Daraa’s Tareeq al-Sedd neighbourhood.
War has gripped Syria since 2011, when the regime of Bashar al-Assad launched a brutal crackdown on pro-democracy protesters.
More than 500,000 civilians have died as a result of the ensuing war, many by regime and Russian bombing.
