Leading Swiss diplomat falls to death in Iranian capital Tehran
The local Mehr News Agency said the reason for her fall was not apparent.
A spokesman for Iran's emergency medical services, Mojtaba Khalidi, told the news agency that the first secretary was 51-years-old, although her name has not been revealed.

According to the semi-official Iranian Labour News Agency, the first secretary resided on the tower's 18th floor and was the embassy’s number-two employee and said she was 52-years-old.
Al-Araby Al-Jadeed highlighted that Switzerland is the protecting power for the United States in Iran, a role it has held since 1980, according to the embassy’s website.
This Swiss embassy assists US citizens with diplomatic representation due to Washington's lack of a presence there.
Al-Araby Al-Jadeed added that Bern is also a critical mediator between Washington and Tehran.
