'She Wolf' Shakira 'fended off wild boars' in Barcelona park attack
Colombian singer Shakira said she was attacked by wild boars while at a park in Barcelona earlier this week - but managed to fend them off.
The worldwide star was walking through the park with her eight-year-old son Milan when the two boars attacked them.
In an Instagram video taken soon after the incident, the singer held a tattered bag.
She said the boars were trying to take her bag, which contained her phone, into the woods.
The singer, whose father is Lebanese, lives in Barcelona with her two children and husband Gerard Pique, who plays for Barcelona football club.
Seemingly unshaken, she laughed as she asked Milan to tell the Instagram video's viewers "the truth".
"Tell them how your mother fended off the wild boars," she said, speaking Spanish.
Wild boars carry diseases and thrive off of rubbish left behind by humans.
They have become a growing nuisance not just in the Catalan city, but across Europe - sparking calls for the beasts to be culled.
There are an estimated 10 million boars across Europe.
