Supermodel Naomi Campbell has landed in Qatar along with other A-list stars to support young talent in the fashion industry.

The 51-year-old model was pictured in a glamorous white ruffled gown at the opening reception of #QatarCreates at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha on 2 November alongside model Coco Rocha and Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of Maison Valentino.

Qatar Creates is a cultural celebration connecting the fields of art, fashion, and design through a diverse program of exhibitions, awards, public talks, and special events.  It includes the Fashion Trust Arabia - which provides support, guidance and mentorship to emerging designers in the Middle East and North Africa.

Before landing in Qatar, Campbell wrote on her Instagram: “#KICKING OFF THE MONTH WITH #QATARCREATES with my cousin @biancasaunders...In Qatar Supporting new young emerging talent Thank you”.

The pictures Campbell shared showed her boarding a private jet in a patterned tracksuit and black fedora.

Campbell's fashion designer cousin, Bianca Saunders, uploaded a picture of the supermodel wearing items from her collection in another post from the same day.

Other stars in Qatar for the event included Lebanese fashion designers Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad, British model and fashion designer Alexa Chung, and representatives from Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo.

During the opening reception, Campbell was pictured with Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums

“We are so thrilled this year to welcome so many cutting-edge figures in fashion, design, and the arts to #QatarCreates, to enjoy a wide array of experiences we offer and outstanding creative peers from Qatar,” Al Thani said.

Fashion Trust Arabia is one of the first initiatives of its kind supporting talented designers in the Arab world.

The showcasing and judging for the wards will take place at M7, a new five-story facility dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, according to Doha News.

M7 will “host masterminds in the fashion industry,” said the online news site. This includes its inaugural exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” from November 2021 to March 2022, displaying Dior’s “unique heritage”.
