More than 100,000 Palestinians attend Eid al-Fitr prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Some 120,000 Muslim worshippers attended Eid Al-Fitr prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem on Friday, the holy site's administration said, after weeks of Israeli aggression.
The prayers for Eid Al-Fitr, a celebration that immediately follows the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, came amid high levels of Israeli security around the compound, a representative of the administration told Arabi 21.
Israeli forces searched worshippers as they entered the mosque compound's gates and confiscated the identification cards of some, the administration said.

Israeli forces and settlers had stormed the mosque compound several times over the course of Ramadan, which began on 23 March.
In one especially brutal storming by Israeli police, hundreds of worshippers were injured and arrested.
In the fallout of that storming, Palestinian militants in the besieged Gaza Strip and in southern Lebanon fired rockets into Israel, which resulted in Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
The stormings did not stop worshippers from flocking to Friday prayers during Ramadan in droves, with as many as 250,000 attending each week.
Israel often steps up its aggression towards Palestinians during Ramadan.
It also used brutal force against Christians in Jerusalem during the Holy Light ceremony last week.
