Lebanese and Syrian men arrested following horrific murder of mother, three daughters
Lebanese police have arrested a second suspect over the horrific murder of a mother and her three daughters, whose bodies were discovered on Friday in a southern Lebanon town.
Authorities named the first suspect as Hussein Fayyad and the second as a Syrian national, Hassan Ghabbash.
Ghabbash was arrested in the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon on Sunday, according to a military source who spoke to The New Arab's Arabic-language service, reportedly as he attempted to flee the country to Syria.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the smuggler who had assisted Ghabbash was also arrested by the military on Monday morning.
The killings of Basma Abbas and her three daughters, Tala, 22, Rima, 20, and 16-year-old Manal have shocked Lebanon.
The Lebanese Women's Rights Commission released a statement on Monday condemning "the savage crime which took the lives of a mother and her three daughters, and which was prepared in cold blood".
