Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan has unveiled a new photograph of his newborn daughter Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, just two weeks old, was born on August 3 - making her the first grandchild of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II

Prince Hussein released a photograph of himself dressed in military uniform while cradling his newborn on Monday, rejoicing at the birth of his little one in an emotional post on his official Instagram account.

"With my precious one," Prince Hussein wrote in his caption.

On 7 August, a previous picture released on Instagram showed the crown prince standing next to his wife Princess Rajwa Al Hussein holding their daughter.

"Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated personnel of the Royal Medical Services for their exceptional care over Rajwa and Iman during the past few days," the caption read.

The Jordanian royal family have continued to share behind-the-scenes insights following the arrival of the new royal baby.

Jordanian royal media reported the royals being sighted outside Al Hussein Medical City in the Jordanian capital of Amman, as well as documenting the moment King Abdullah and Queen Rania met their granddaughter.

Also present to welcome the newest addition in the royal family were Prince Hussein’s siblings Prince Hashem, Princess Salma, and Princess Iman.

When Princess Iman was born, Queen Rania expressed her joy on her official Instagram account, sharing a photo of herself holding the newborn.

"Iman, you’ve already got a hold of my heart. Our family has never been happier!"  Queen Rania wrote. "Praise be to God for His greatest gifts."

King Abdullah also conveyed his delight through a message on his official X account, saying: "Praise be to God who gave us our first granddaughter, Iman bint Al-Hussein. I congratulate Al-Hussein and Rajwa on their newborn baby. We ask God to give her good growth and protect her for her parents."

Although Princess Iman is the firstborn child of the heir to the Jordanian throne, she does not hold a place in the line of succession.

In line with Jordanian succession laws, only male heirs are eligible to be included in the line of succession to the throne.

Last summer, Crown Prince Hussein married Princess Rajwa in an extravagant wedding ceremony attended by the likes of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate and William, as well as US First Lady Jill Biden, Queen Sofia of Spain and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.
