Jordan's security forces stopped two trucks smuggling Captagon pills into the country at the Jaber customs point on the Syrian border on Wednesday.
One of the trucks was carrying iron, while the other carried fruit, a media spokesperson for the customs department said.
The drugs were hidden in special caches in the trucks, the spokesperson said.
A report on the drug bust was presented to the Narcotics Control Department for further legal action. It was not clear how much Captagon was found.
Captagon is an amphetamine-type stimulant. Its production has flourished in Syria during the country’s decade-long conflict.
The smuggling of Captagon into Jordan from Syria is common.
