Jordan: King Abdullah appoints his brother Prince Faisal bin Hussein as royal deputy

Prince Faisal bin Hussein has been sworn in as deputy to his brother King Abdullah of Jordan, according to the country's Petra News Agency on Friday.

Jordan's Prince Faisal bin Hussein was sworn in as deputy to his brother King Abdullah, state television reported on Friday. 

Hussein is the son of King Hussein and Princess Muna, and Abdullah's younger brother. 

The new deputy has spent time serving in the country's Royal Jordanian Air Force. 

He has also acted as regent during the king's trips abroad.
