Israeli forces wounded six Palestinians, on Monday, 24 July, during two separate raids on the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm and the Askar refugee camp in Nablus.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, four Palestinians were wounded during the raid in Tulkarm, while the Red Crescent Society confirmed two others were injured in Nablus.

"The occupation forces stormed Nur Shams early on Monday and began to bulldoze the streets, just like they did in Jenin", Faisal Salameh, a resident of Tulkarm and coordinator of factions action in the city, told The New Arab.

"They didn't arrest anybody, and they didn't find anything to confiscate, but the material damage they caused could amount to US$ 2 million", said Salameh.

Meanwhile, in Nablus, "the occupation soldiers tried to arrest a resident, but he wasn't at home", Jamal Rayan, a resident of Nablus and human rights activist in the city, told TNA.

"Instead, soldiers arrested a 13-year-old boy for several hours but later released him", he said. "Raiding forces were confronted by fighters with gunfire and locally-made explosives, so they left without achieving anything", he added.

One of the two wounded in the Askar refugee camp was a vulture paramedic working with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

"The volunteer is a 24-year-old young man who was with an ambulance unit during the raid", Ahmed Jebril, chief of ambulances for the Red Crescent in Nablus, told TNA.

"He was there when the soldiers wounded a resident, and he was the first to arrive to help", said Jebril. "He was hit with live bullets in both legs while helping the wounded, and I took him to the ambulance myself", he went on.

"Both wounded are in stable condition now, but this is not the first time that the occupation targets paramedics and ambulances", remarked Jebril.

"In the raid on Nablus last week, they also opened fire at paramedics and ambulances, and the same happened in Tulkarm", he added.

Israeli raids on Monday arrived two days after Israeli forces killed 18-year-old Fawzi Makhalfeh in Sebastya, north of Nablus.
