Israeli forces detained male medical staff as well as wounded patients in Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

Israeli forces also trapped women in the hospital in a room, without any water or food.

"The current situation inside Kamal Adwan Hospital is alarmingly deteriorating. The total number of people inside the hospital is 600, including patients, wounded, medical staff and companions" the ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, two children were killed in the intensive care unit after the hospital’s generators stopped working, and Israeli forces targeted the oxygen facilities.

They added that Israeli forces made there way into the hospital, shooting inside various wards and causing panic.

At least three ambulances and a medical vehicle were destroyed in the attack. Palestinian ambulances have ceased operating in northern Gaza amid ferocious Israeli attacks.

Israeli attacks also damaged the building’s solar panels, worsening the already dire situation amid a complete lack of resources.

At least 195 wounded patients and 70 medical staff were in the hospital, while at least three nurses and a cleaner were wounded in the attacks.

The ministry called on all international and UN institutions to urgently intervene and protect patients and staff in the hospital.

On Friday, Israeli forces made forcibly displaced Palestinians sheltering in the hospital strip off their clothes before detaining some of them.

Northern Gaza continues to be cut off from the rest of the Strip, with ariel and ground attacks ramping up against civilians. Israel is believed to be implementing a scheme known as the "General's Plan" designed to kill, starve, and expel the remaining inhabitants of the area.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s government media office on Friday evening that the Israeli army had stolen 2,300 bodies from several cemeteries in Gaza since 7 October 2023.

The office added that at least 19 out of 60 cemeteries have been completely or partially destroyed since the start of Israel’s war on the Strip.

Since October 2023, Palestinians have said that Israeli forces are digging up graves and stealing bodies from them during ground invasions.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 42,847 Palestinians and wounded 100,282 others. The war has utterly devastated the Gaza Strip and plunged it into a deep humanitarian crisis amid accusations of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
