The Israeli army killed two Palestinians during an incursion in the al-Fawwar refugee camp near Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank on Tuesday.

Ibrahim al-Titi, 31, and Ahmad Yaghi, 17, were killed during clashes which followed the Israeli army raid on the refugee camp, according to Palestinian media.

Ibrahim's mother told local media that the army stormed the camp at around 3 am local time and positioned snipers on top of buildings.

"They want to liquidate all the [inhabitants] of the refugee camps; they want us to leave or get killed," she said.

Deadly incursions by the Israeli military in Palestinian villages and towns have claimed the lives of at least 516 Palestinians this year of which 305 were killed since the beginning of Israel's war on Gaza on October 7.

Israeli forces have until recently focused their raid on the northern West Bank, targeting in particular the cities of Jenin, Nablus and Tulkarm, where armed clashes and casualties are reported daily.

With Tuesday's deadly raid on the Al-Fawwar camp, it appears that the Israeli military is widening its campaign against Palestinians and Palestinian armed groups

Since October 7, Israel has detained at least 4785 Palestinians, including women and minors, from the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to Palestinian sources, Israel detained 55 Palestinians from various areas in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday. Among those detained is former Palestinian legislative council member Khalida Jarrar, 60, who was taken from her home in Ramallah.

Jarrar, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was released from administrative detention in 2021.

Also, on Tuesday, the Israeli forces announced that they had found and destroyed an explosives lab in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm and seized over 30 firearms during an operation there.
