Iranian FM Mohammad Zarif discusses 'regional developments' with Iraqi counterpart in Baghdad

The senior Iranian politician is also reportedly to meet the Iraqi president, prime minister and the speaker of the parliament.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on Monday held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif after after the latter's arrival in Baghdad.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials discussed relations between the two countries and regional developments.

Zarif was also expected to meet Iraq's president, the parliament speaker, and the prime minister later in the day.
