Iran has discussed everything needed for the next round of nuclear deal talks, a government spokesman said on Tuesday.

"In our opinion, everything that should be discussed at the negotiating table so far has been discussed between the parties," spokesman Ali Rabiei said during his weekly press conference.

The US and other countries party to the agreement must announce their decisions for the next round of talks, Rabiei said. Iran and the US are speaking indirectly at the talks.

The nuclear accord, signed in 2015, was thrown into peril when Washington withdrew from the deal and imposed crushing economic sanctions on Iran. Tehran has since taken several steps back from its commitments to the deal.

The sixth round of talks in the Austrian capital to revive the nuclear deal ended last week, with the seventh round to begin in the coming days.

Time is ticking for an agreement on the nuclear deal to be reached before Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who signed the accord, is replaced in August by President-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

Though a hardliner, Raisi has said he will not oppose any efforts to revive the deal.

Rabiei said a consensus had already been reached on lifting a wide range of sanctions on Iran.

Before his meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin at the White House on Tuesday, Joe Biden promised an “ironclad” commitment to Israel, including on Iran.

“What I can say to you is that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon on my watch," Biden said.

Indirect talks between Tehran and Washington will likely be further strained after the US conducted airstrikes on Iran-backed militia facilities in the Iraq-Syria border area on Sunday.
