Lindsay Lohan reveals plan to design her own island in Dubai
Actor Lindsay Loan is making plans to design her own island in Dubai, the Hollywood star revealed during an appearance on an US talk show on Friday.
The 30-year-old celebrity told The Wendy Williams Show that she is set to start designing the "Lohan Island" as part of The World Islands - an artificial archipelago of small islands in Dubai designed to resemble the earth.
"[…] When I am finished filming [British sitcom] Sick Note I can go back to Dubai… [and] design this island - Lohan Island… I am discussing designing my own island in Dubai at the World Islands," the actress said.
Last year, Lohan moved to the UAE, where she claims she finds peace and has since been able to focus on her private life.
"I love living in New York, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East, because there are no cameras in Dubai," she said in December.
In recent months, Lohan publically declared her interest in Islam, confirming rumours she was studying the religion, but shying away from claims that she has converted.
The actress has on multiple occasions donned the Hijab in public.
In February, she said she was racially profiled at an airport while travelling because she was wearing the Islamic headscarf.
She has also posted quotes from Muslim figures, like the Prophet Mohammed, on her social media accounts.
