Despite US President Donald Trump pledging over and over again during his election campaign that he will move the US embassy to Jerusalem, not many thought he will fall through with his promise.

The announcement has also caused various reactions online. Some are excited and are endorsing this extreme step, others are apprehensive, whereas the majority of Palestinians and Palestine supporters are angry.

Many took to social media to highlight their reactions, with some lambasting the "unjust" reaction of mainstream media.
