Lara Nelson is the Policy Director of ETANA Syria, an organisation focused on informing international policy on Syria. Lara has worked on Syria since 2013 from Jordan and Turkey. Within ETANA, she focuses on policy outreach and projects and has directed and produced extensive research with a focus on political and military subjects. She previously worked as an independent consultant for the political and military sides of the moderate Syrian opposition. Lara speaks fluent Arabic and holds a BA degree from Oxford University and an MA from SOAS.
