Israeli hospital to expand to UAE and treat military personnel
Doctors from Sheba Medical Center will fly to Dubai for face-to-face diagnostic consultations with an initial 350 diabetes patients in the UAE army, police, and firefighting services with remote monitoring and follow-ups, Lt. Col. Yoel Har-even, director of the hospital's International Division and Resource Development, told Bloomberg.
Sheba has agreed a three-year contract with Dubai-based Al-Tadawi Medical Center, he added.
Sheba is looking for a permanent presence in the UAE and will send medical staff to the Gulf state to train medical personnel, the business site added.
"The next steps are very, very close," he added.
The UAE and Israel normalised relationships in September causing anger in the Arab and Muslim world.
