Israeli police say the Tel Aviv shooter who killed three people at a bar in the coastal city last week, has been killed in shootout with police.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said the gunman "was found in a building" on Friday.

She says he came out shooting at the Israeli forces and "was then shot and killed."

The gunman was identified earlier as Nashat Milhem, an Arab from the northern Israel.

Israel says he opened fire at a bar on a busy street in Tel Aviv last Friday, killing two people and wounding several others. He later also shot and killed an Arab taxi driver, the occupation authorties claim.

Palestinians living in Israel make up a fifth of the country's 8.4 million people and are subjected to racist and unfair treatment in areas such as housing and employment opportunities.
