Kris Jenner to launch business school in Dubai
The 60-year-old tycoon said she would be the chairperson of the board at the Legacy Business School, which will open in New York in September and is planning to launch a Dubai campus next year.
"I know what it means to have a vision and a passion," Jenner told reporters at a press conference at the Dubai Design District.
"I know what it means to work hard and turn a dream into a reality. Now I want to pay it forward and help young ambitious entrepreneurs."
Jenner, famed for being the mother of socialite star Kim Kardashian, reportedly kept journalists waiting for nearly 40 minutes before left abruptly to attend a private lunch at Cipriani restaurant in Dubai's International Financial Centre, according to Emirati website The National.
Founded by chief executive Alessandro Nomellino, the Manhattan-based private business school will offer certified programmes in management business administration as well as creative courses in fashion and marketing.
Though the only requirement is a high school diploma, the institution will be accessible only to those who can afford it and will not offer scholarships.
"As someone who always expects the best, I was drawn to Alessandro's concept of a white-glove business school, offering the finest amenities, with luxuries that you'd expect from a school created for the global elite," said Jenner.

Carla Dibello, managing partner of CDB Advisory and a long-term friend of Jenner, said that it was a "no-brainer" when Jenner contacted her about Legacy.
"We look at Dubai as one of the fastest cities in the world and when Kris called me and told me what she was doing, we believed Dubai would definitely be the next best location for a second campus," said Dibello, who moved to Dubai two years ago.
"Students can learn how to be a fashion blogger or a designer, for example, but also be taught how important it is to implement the branding and management behind it."
Jenner, who is also a media ambassador for Legacy Business School, will oversee the appointment of the other board members in the coming months and may be a guest lecturer when the academic year begins, Dibello added.
